We congratulate the ACC Swimming Team (Years 7-12) on winning the ‘C’ Division of the ACC Interschool Carnival against 7 other schools. After weeks of early morning training the hard work paid dividends. After leading all day the team finished with a total of 1050 points, 111 points more than their closest rival.

As well as receiving the Overall Champions, we also picked up the shields for, Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Overall Boys and Overall Girls.

A big thanks to the coaches, Mr Preshaw, Mr Bradley, Miss Martin, Miss de Reus and Mr Blakiston for their commitment to helping the team reach their best potential.

For the first time ever, this now means that UFCC will be elevated into the ‘B’ Division for 2018.

The last time Frayne won an ACC Sporting Carnival was in 2008 when they won the ‘E’ Division Swimming moving into ‘D’ Division. In 2011, due to new schools joining the Swimming competition, the ACC elevated two schools into each Division. As Frayne had come 2nd in 2010 they were elevated to ‘C’ Division without actually having won the ‘D’ Division. And due to the competitiveness of the students, we were never relegated back to ‘D’ Division.

We also congratulate Ethan Calleja (Year 12) on being named the Age Champion for the Boys’ Open and Celina Riley (Year 7) on being the U/13 Girls’ Age Champion on the day.
